Hello BW experts,
We are in the midst of upgrading BW from 7.0 SP10 to 7.31 sp10 and the daily data load is failing due to a # sign in the ECC field VBAK-BNAME "Name of orderer". It does not fail in our Dev or QA instances and they have been upgraded to 7.31.
It never failed before under 7.0.
The system is in the preprocessing stage of the upgrade and so is in lock down mode. Perhaps something in this preprocessing is causing it to fail. We will not complete the upgrade until Saturday night.
Users are wanting to run their month end reports so we'd like to load the data as soon as possible.
Could we remove the pound sign in the PSA or would that impact the data loads? We use delta loads.
