I think the point being made here is that SP02 dates from 23.07.2009, so you are not leveraging 4 years worth of corrections and enhancements.
Without knowing your exact BW level, it is possible that you are also not leveraging the later "interoperability" notes (i.e. Enhancement Packs and Support Packages) in the BEX-MDX area which would help improve stability.
Finally, if you are "running a huge webi query" then this is almost certainly a problem. The XI3.x webi processing server has a max memory threshold of 2Gb per process (32-bit platform limitation), so if the request requires more resources, the service will restart. You may also find that the Work process in BW has dumped in ST22 also.
