Hello Mukesh,

Please review the Transaction OAYR - In the posting rules you have
set the flag smoothing. If you use F1 on this field:

If you set this indicator, the depreciation posting program calculates
the periodic depreciation to be posted by distributing the remaining
depreciation to be posted equally over the remaining periods of the
fiscal year.

Please also review the following IMG step

Asset Accounting - Integration with the General Ledger - Post
Depreciation to the General Ledger - Specify Intervals and Posting
Rules.

If you choose your company code xxxx and go the posting rules of
area 01  you find, that "Smoothing" is switched on.
Press "F1" for "Smoothing".

You will get the following documentation:
If you set this indicator, the depreciation posting program calculates
the periodic depreciation to be posted by distributing the remaining
depreciation to be posted equally over the remaining periods of the
fiscal year.

The consequence of this is also described in our note 47547 solution
point 2 and regarding the retirement in our note 30260.

As a result he system plans for the whole fiscal year
the depreciation amount and has to spread it over all periods regardless
if there was a retirement or not.

I hope this is of help,

regards

Ray
