Insert , update and delete flags in Table comparison transform.

I am exploring the difference between Table comparison, Map and History preserve. On the internet I read that 'The output of table comparison transform is rows flagged as INSERT, UPDATE'.

But I could not find any of these flags instead table comparison actually inserts, updates rows in target table. I did not get output as rows flagged as INSERT, UPDATE.

Which one is true?
