I hope it is OK for me to hijack this thread and ask for ideas about an Xmas present for the missus this year?
She wanted 2 new sofas, so we (what I thought was romantic) made a deal that I 1 for her and she buys the other 1 for me. That worked fine and I even went to IKEA with her for 2 hours to look at matching other things. I even went with to Interio Designer but got into trouble for falling asleep on the psychologist couch.
Now via my sister I heard that the missus has concerns about the sofas. There is actually nothing wrong with them except that they can only be delivered in February 2014... so the problem is that she wants to be able to open a present on Xmas eve anyway and be delighted.
Does anyone have an original idea for an Xmas present for the missus which excludes that which she already wanted, the sister won't use it as "abuse report" that her husband did not think of it for her either and she is still delighted.
I was thinking about creating an SCN account for her and giving her 10k SCN points from mine. Or all of them, forever... but I guess that JIVE does not support that. Dumb idea anyway as it will not be well received.
Another option I thought of was a very nice silk sari. Will give her hope for the return of the summer. Does anyone know of a good source for such a thing if I send the spec?
Other Xmas present ideas for the missus are also very welcome. Any ideas are generally welcome as they might also help other people who are in a fix which I managed to avoid in past years.
